The Calpe City Council approves its roadmap for smarter, more sustainable, and inclusive tourism

Fri, 14/11/2025 - 12:47
Viernes, 14 Noviembre, 2025 - 10:30The Calpe City Council approves its roadmap for smarter, more sustainable, and inclusive tourism

The Plenary Session of the Calpe City Council has unanimously approved the Declaration of Intent for Tourism Development and the adoption of the European Tourism Indicators System (ETIS), two key tools that will shape the municipal tourism strategy in the coming years.

These decisions, supported by all political groups in the municipal corporation, aim to advance towards a more balanced tourism model, prioritizing quality over quantity, and considering both the well-being of residents and the experience of visitors.

The Declaration of Intent for Tourism Development recognizes that tourism cannot be addressed solely through a specific council department but must be integrated into all areas of municipal management: environment, urban planning, social welfare, heritage, and mobility. The text establishes four fundamental pillars: environmental and cultural sustainability, universal accessibility, technological innovation, and participatory governance.

This commitment includes precise measures such as regulating carrying capacity in natural areas, promoting the digital transformation of the sector, mitigating seasonality, providing continuous training for tourism staff, and promoting local consumption.

In parallel, the Plenary has approved the adoption of the ETIS system (European Tourism Indicators System), a tool promoted by the European Commission that allows measuring the impact of tourism beyond the number of visitors. This system includes indicators related to water and energy consumption, the satisfaction of residents and tourists, accessibility, heritage conservation, social cohesion, and tourism's contribution to the local economy.

Calpe's inclusion into this system positions the municipality as one of the destinations that are committed to management based on real and objective data, capable of guiding decision-making based on evidence.

The Calpe City Council is now starting the implementation phase, which will include training technical staff, systematically collecting data, involving the private sector, and communicating with citizens. This is a process that will allow political commitment to be transformed into real and measurable actions.

The approved tourism strategy is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, allowing Calpe to stand among the destinations that are committed to responsible tourism development and engaged with major global challenges.

Calpe presents the results of Calpe Next Solutions, the strategy that will guide the business fabric over the next five years

Fri, 14/11/2025 - 09:07
Jueves, 13 Noviembre, 2025 - 11:00 Calpe presents the results of Calpe Next Solutions, the strategy that will guide the business fabric over the next five years

Casa Nova hosted yesterday the public presentation of the results of Calpe Next Solutions, a comprehensive strategy driven by the Calpe Association of Entrepreneurs (AEMCO) and the Calpe City Council, aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the local business fabric, promoting economic sustainability, and jointly planning the productive future of the municipality.

During the event, attended by business representatives, professionals from various sectors, experts, and institutional officials, the main conclusions of the participatory diagnosis carried out throughout 2025 were presented. This diagnosis involved the direct participation of 60 participants through qualitative interviews, representing the key economic sectors of the municipality, public institutions, social agents, and social agents and specialists from the academic and business sectors of the province of Alicante.

Through a methodological process supported by scientific analysis techniques, such as benchmarking and network analysis applied to the local business structure, the project has identified 88 issues that affect the competitiveness of the municipality's business fabric and 41 strategic capabilities needed to address them. As a result of this work, six strategic axes and a total of 36 priority actions have been defined, addressing issues such as local economic governance, digital transformation, innovation, sustainability, talent, and the promotion of entrepreneurship.

The result is a five-year roadmap that guides the strategic planning of Calpe's business network, offering a practical framework for both public and private actors and providing a shared vision that allows anticipating challenges and seizing development opportunities.

Statements from the project directors:

Iker Jimeno, director of research consultancy at Lankoa, highlighted during the event that "Calpe Next Solutions demonstrates that strategic planning is only effective when it is built from the territory, listening to companies and generating a shared vision. The commitment shown by the local business network is a clear indicator of Calpe's capacity to tackle the challenges of the coming years with confidence." Meanwhile, Josep Tur-Vives, project director at Lankoa, emphasized that "the project is not merely a technical document, but a living structure of public-private cooperation. Its value lies in the fact that it combines methodological rigor, genuine participation, and a fully applied orientation toward decision-making. Calpe now has a strategic tool to move towards a more innovative, competitive, and sustainable economic model”.

The City Council will implement the management of ECUVs to streamline the granting of building permits

Wed, 12/11/2025 - 14:34
Miércoles, 12 Noviembre, 2025 - 11:15The City Council will implement the management of ECUVs to streamline the granting of building permits

At yesterday's plenary session, the Calpe City Council approved the implementation of the management of Urban Verification Collaborative Entities (ECUV) to expedite the procedures for granting building permits and administrative procedures.

The Councilor for Territory, Juan Manuel del Pino, said at the plenary session that "the municipal Department of Territory is overwhelmed, not only in our municipality, and this leads to delays. With the incorporation of ECUV certifications, the work will accelerate, we will be able to be more agile and shorten times. With this measure, we are not doing anything irregular, nor outsourcing a service, we are just speeding things up."

Thanks to the ECUV, project promoters will be able to count on the support of specialized entities to ensure that all required documentation complies with current urban planning and technical regulations. The application must be accompanied by the project and the certificate of conformity from an Administration Collaborating Entity registered in the Registry of Collaborating Entities for Verification and Control of urban planning actions of the Generalitat Valenciana (ECUV). In this way, the City Council will be able to grant licenses more quickly, without jeopardizing legal security or the quality of technical controls.

The spokesperson for Defendamos Calpe, Paco Quiles, expressed opposition to the measure and said that "a municipal competence is being outsourced to facilitate faster construction." Miguel Crespo, spokesperson for the Popular group, who abstained from the vote, emphasized that “The ECUVs will speed up management, but what they don’t tell us is how they are going to solve the management of permits for construction work. The current situation is chaotic and unbearable; we urge them to resolve the permit timelines in Calpe.”

City Council and Fishermen’s´ Brotherhood call for improvements to the port facilities

Wed, 12/11/2025 - 11:36
Martes, 11 Noviembre, 2025 - 12:45 City Council and Fishermen’s´ Brotherhood call for improvements to the port facilities

The mayoress of Calpe, Ana Sala, and the councilor for Fisheries, Mariola Mulet, together with the Senior Patron of the Brotherhood, Paco Catalá, and the Secretary of the entity, Santos Pastor, held a meeting yesterday with the Director General of Coasts and Ports, Marc García, to learn about the status of the various requests regarding the port that have been made for years. The Cina delegation insists on knowing the intentions of the General Directorate of Ports regarding the port of Calpe, as investments are being made in other ports along the Alicante coast, yet the necessary improvements for the port are not being promoted. The city authorities' demands focus on investments for the remodeling and improvement of the port and on actions regarding buildings that are already operated by the Fishermen’s Brotherhood.

Another topic discussed in the meeting was the control of access and traffic within the port area. The delegation insists on knowing the intentions of the Directorate General of Ports regarding the port of Calpe, since investments are being made in other ports along the Alicante coast, yet the necessary improvements for the port are not being promoted. The demands of the city authorities focus on investments in the remodeling and improvement of the port and on actions concerning buildings that are already operated by the Fishermen's Guild.

Another topic addressed in the meeting is the control of access and traffic to the port area, as well as the possibility of creating a parking zone that could be managed by the Guild itself. The Directorate General of Ports expressed doubts about this due to the need for a public tender.

On the other hand, the Calpe Fishermen's Guild has received the renewal of the concession for operating the Fish Market, although other facilities have been left out of the concession despite having received favorable reports. However, the Guild is seeking a series of European subsidies under the Local Fisheries Action Group (GALP) La Marina, for which the concession certification is required. Therefore, the Directorate General of Fisheries has committed to promptly issue a temporary authorization that guarantees that the Calpe Guild can access European aid.

Calpe joins the Alicante Renace project with its first ecological site in Las Salinas

Wed, 12/11/2025 - 11:35
Martes, 11 Noviembre, 2025 - 12:45Calpe joins the Alicante Renace project with its first ecological site in Las Salinas

The City Council of Calpe officially joined the Alicante Renace project today, with the designation of a first site of nearly one hectare within the natural environment of Las Salinas de Calpe, one of the most emblematic and valuable ecosystems on the Alicante coast. The visit, led by the Councilor for the Environment, Pedro Moll Leuchter, along with municipal technicians and project representatives, allowed for the definition of the first ecological restoration actions that will be carried out in the area over the coming months. Through its Department of the Environment, the City Council of Calpe reaffirms with this initiative its commitment to sustainability, environmental education, and citizen awareness, promoting active policies that strengthen the connection between the population and its natural surroundings. These actions are part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, especially SDGs 13 (Climate Action), 15 (Life on Land), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), demonstrating that cooperation between administrations, citizens, and social entities can generate real transformations in the territory. The director of the Alicante Renace project, Daniel Aguilar, emphasized that “The inclusion of Calpe represents a very important step for the entire region. Recovering such an iconic space as Las Salinas not only improves the ecosystem, but also raises the environmental pride of the municipality and consolidates its leadership in the protection of the province's natural heritage. Additionally, it strengthens the educational and transformative value of involving citizens in caring for the territory.”

The Salinas of Calpe constitute an ecosystem of extremely high ecological, landscape, and cultural value. Located between the Peñón de Ifach and the urban center, they host a remarkable diversity of migratory birds — such as flamingos, black-winged stilts, herons, and avocets — as well as native halophilic flora specially adapted to saline soils. This wetland acts as a natural regulator of the microclimate, contributes to water purification, and is an essential refuge for numerous species that depend on these habitats for their survival.

Beyond its environmental importance, the Salinas represent a major tourist attraction for Calpe. Thousands of visitors come each year to observe the flamingos and enjoy the natural landscape, which contrasts with the urban profile and the Peñón de Ifach. This nature and birdwatching tourism integrate harmoniously with the local cultural and gastronomic offerings, generating a model of sustainable development.

This nature and observation tourism harmoniously integrates with the town's cultural and gastronomic offerings, generating a sustainable development model that demonstrates that environmental protection can go hand in hand with economic growth and quality of life. The future ecological restoration promoted by Alicante Renace in collaboration with the Calpe City Council will further strengthen this balance, creating a living space for environmental education and ecotourism that will allow residents, students, and visitors to understand the value of saline ecosystems and their essential role in combating climate change. With this commitment, Calpe joins the network of municipalities of Alicante Renace, which already includes dozens of town councils and thousands of volunteers committed to the environmental recovery of the province. This project consolidates a model of public-social and educational collaboration that continues to make history in the province, planting ecological awareness and hope for future generations.

More than 200 volunteers collect 1,800 kilos of waste at the II Calp Blau Marine Environmental Days

Mon, 10/11/2025 - 13:36
Lunes, 10 Noviembre, 2025 - 12:00More than 200 volunteers collect 1,800 kilos of waste at the II Calp Blau Marine Environmental Days

The II Calp Blau Marine Environmental Days, organised by the Calpe Town Hall between 5 and 8 November, concluded with a successful coastal cleanup day that brought together more than 200 volunteers in a simultaneous land and underwater action. Coordinated by Civil Protection and with the collaboration of specialised IMEDMAR-UCV divers, the initiative took place in the surroundings of the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park.

As a result of the day, 1,800 kilos of waste were removed, including nets and ropes (1,080 kilos), metals and cans (180 kilos), glass and ceramics (180 kilos), plastics and packaging (144 kilos), as well as other waste such as paper, cardboard and cigarette butts (216 kilos). The activity highlights the value of citizens' commitment to protecting the coastal ecosystem and the need to continue promoting environmental awareness actions. After the cleanup, the volunteers enjoyed a popular fideuà prepared by the Fishermen's Guild with Peix de Calp, on a festive day enlivened by DJ Illan Nicciani.

In addition to direct action on the coast, the “Calp Blau” days offered a comprehensive programme of scientific outreach and environmental education. The University Headquarters of the University of Alicante at Casa Nova hosted lectures over three days by experts from the University of Alicante, IMEDMAR-UCV, the Coastal Ecology Institute, the Oceanogràfic Foundation, Sea Shepherd Spain, technicians from the Ministry of the Environment (VAERSA) and from the Ministry for Ecological Transition (MITECO), among others.

The topics covered included the conservation of species such as Pinna nobilis, the protection of Posidonia oceanica, the reduction of marine waste, citizen involvement in environmental monitoring, and models for beach management and marine sustainability.

Under the motto "Resilience and Action for the Coast of Calp," this second edition consolidates the "Calp Blau" sessions as a meeting space between science, citizens, and public administration, aimed at strengthening the protection of the sea and its biodiversity.

Viernes, 7 Noviembre, 2025 - 13:30The City Council allocates €40,329 to soundproofing the Civic Centre café

This week, the acoustic conditioning works of the Civic Centre for the Elderly café have been completed, work that, in addition to soundproofing, has improved the acoustic comfort of this space, reducing the reverberation time, which was quite high and caused high noise levels inside.

The works consisted of placing sound-absorbing panels attached to the ceiling and two of the walls. The works were awarded to the company Iberacústica with a budget of €40,329.70 and a six-week execution period. The works have meant the closure of the café for the last two weeks to place the panels and it will reopen next Tuesday.

The Calpe Senior Citizens' Civic Centre was inaugurated in 2003 and offers a full range of services, from information and guidance on matters relating to the elderly to medical care, rehabilitation, passive and active exercise, workshops, dining, café and recreational and cultural activities. Currently, the Civic Centre has more than 4000 users and this year it has held over fifteen workshops on topics as varied as memory training or mindfulness, laughter therapy, theatre, languages, Pilates or crafts.

The City Council allocates €59,900 for the cleaning of municipal green areas in La Empedrola

Thu, 06/11/2025 - 10:03
Miércoles, 5 Noviembre, 2025 - 10:45The City Council allocates €59,900 for the cleaning of municipal green areas in La Empedrola

The Calpe City Council has begun the tender process for forest management services in the municipal green areas of Empedrola I and II. This involves carrying out forestry work in two municipal green areas covering an area of 8.2 hectares.

The contract includes several actions: creating a 10-metre-wide perimeter strip next to urbanised areas to improve safety against potential forest fires in the green area that could affect neighbouring homes, creating a 35-metre firebreak supported by an existing road that separates the two green areas, and improving existing forested areas with forest management actions such as selective thinning. These actions will favour dominant trees and thus reduce forest biomass. Mainly, pyrophytic species and those with dry plant material will be primarily removed, and crown tangents will be avoided.

Vegetation remnants will be treated preferably in two different ways: a) Small remnants will be shredded on site and left in the forest. b) Logs will be cut into smaller fragments and stored in the same green area. If necessary, the contractor must plan for the possibility of removing the remains of the plant to an authorised landfill.

The contract price is €59,900, which may be reduced by bidding companies, and the execution period will be 4 months, with an option for an extraordinary extension of 2 months if the works specified in the contract are not completed.

The green areas of Empedrola I and II are extensive municipal areas surrounded by residential zones; the ultimate objective of these actions is to sanitise the existing vegetation and thus prevent fires.

Calpe pays tribute to the victims of the DANA storm in an emotional ceremony held in the Plaza de la Villa.

Fri, 31/10/2025 - 13:33
Jueves, 30 Octubre, 2025 - 12:30Calpe pays tribute to the victims of the DANA storm in an emotional ceremony held in the Plaza de la Villa.

Calp celebró anoche un concierto homenaje a las víctimas de la DANA en la Plaza de la Villa en el que se guardaron 229 segundos de silencio, uno por cada persona fallecida en la catástrofe del 29 de octubre de 2024.

Last evening, Calpe held a concert in tribute to the victims of the DANA flood in the Plaza de la Villa, where 229 seconds of silence were observed, one for each person who died in the disaster on 29 October 2024.

The tribute was attended by representatives of the local police, civil protection and two volunteers who were responsible for organising the deployment of volunteers from Calpe last year to assist in the relief efforts in the affected municipalities. They represented all the associations, companies and individuals who, in one way or another, offered their collaboration and solidarity to help those affected. They were also responsible for reading the poem ‘Ruido’ (Noise), a poetic collaboration by several writers as a tribute to the victims of the DANA.

The mayor of Calpe, Ana Sala, accompanied by the entire municipal corporation, highlighted during her speech the importance of keeping the memory of the victims alive and acting responsibly in emergencies of this magnitude: ‘material things can be rebuilt, but lost human lives cannot be brought back,’ she said.

The event was organised by Calpe Town Council and ended with a concert by pianist Alba Sansano in memory of the victims and in recognition of all the people and organisations who offered their help and solidarity during those difficult days.

Poetic collaboration in solidarity with all those affected by the DANA flood on 29 October 2024.

Noise in Valencia.

In the dark, they pile up, insurmountable,

memories, history, the people,

flashes of lives in abundance,

the years collapsed in an instant.

Decadence that continues to kill.

Amidst the destruction, people pray and implore.

Faced with the mud that continues to advance,

the slow barges delay.

And all that remains is a glance at the sky

that cries out to deaf ears.

Agonising faces beg for truths,

a strong tide buries their memories.

Memories of a life now distant,

open spaces for new stories.

Between prayers and in the midst of mourning,

the people save the people.

A bridge of arms and hands that

resists rivers, that unites borders.

Bodies united in grief,

without flags, without borders.

The earth weeps over the devastated voice,

men measure themselves against misfortune.

Island of mud, black cloud ignites

the tired gaze, the defeated light.

From a moon in Valencia

looking at its violent silhouette.

The sky a witness, the ground an executioner.

Life and death in a single mourning.

We, the lullaby that will silence this sorrow.

The legacy of this wounded body.

SAVE Conference volunteers remove more than 1,200 kg of waste in Calpe

Thu, 30/10/2025 - 10:55
Miércoles, 29 Octubre, 2025 - 11:00SAVE Conference volunteers remove more than 1,200 kg of waste in Calpe

The Chair of Social Responsibility of the Valencian Regional Government at the University of Alicante, the Calpe University Campus and the consulting firm Lankoa held the second edition of the SAVE International Conference (Sustainability, Action, Volunteering and Environment) on 23, 24 and 25 October, an event that has established itself as a space for transfer, collaboration and action around sustainability, science and citizen commitment.

During the three days of the conference, 27 experts from nine national and international universities (Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Bolivia, Chile and Ecuador) participated, along with representatives from eight collaborating companies and six NGOs, who shared their reflections, experiences and best practices in the areas of sustainability, social responsibility and ecological transition. In total, the conference brought together more than 200 participants, including in-person attendees, online participants and environmental volunteers.

The event combined a hybrid format between the Alicante Science Park, online sessions and the surroundings of the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park (Calpe), thus maintaining its vocation to connect academic reflection with direct action in the territory. During the official opening, the Vice-Chancellor for Students and Employment at the University of Alicante, Raúl Ruiz Callado, highlighted the value of the initiative as an example of cooperation between the university, business and civil society.

The closing ceremony was held on Saturday 25th in Calpe with a comprehensive environmental action that included the removal of marine waste from Brut de Ifac and land sweeps in Cala El Racó and Las Salinas de Calpe. Thanks to the collaboration of public administrations, universities, businesses, NGOs and citizens, more than a tonne of marine and land waste was removed, reaffirming the practical, participatory and transformative nature of the SAVE movement. The activities were part of a citizen science methodology, through the characterisation of waste and environmental awareness about the conservation of coastal ecosystems.

Although the reforestation initiative planned in Tarija (Bolivia) had to be postponed due to heavy rain and hail, it will go ahead in the coming weeks in collaboration with local partners. Information and results from this initiative will be shared on the official Instagram account @save.the.movement, reinforcing the international and ongoing nature of the movement.

KNOWLEDGE, PARTNERSHIPS AND COMMITMENT

Throughout the academic sessions, topics such as environmental education, energy transition, the circular economy and social innovation were addressed, highlighting experiences that show how cooperation between science, business and citizens can accelerate sustainable transformation. The conference also addressed the gap between awareness, science and action, emphasising the need for scientific knowledge to be translated into transformative actions and concrete solutions to current socio-environmental challenges.

The directors of the conference, Josep Tur Vives and Iker Jimeno, gave a very positive assessment of the second edition, highlighting the capacity for collaboration among the different participating entities—from public bodies to companies and NGOs—and the strengthening of a network of alliances that will continue and resonate in the future. As they pointed out, ‘SAVE's main strengths are its power of collaboration, the synergy between diverse agents and its ability to turn knowledge into action. SAVE demonstrates that sustainability only advances if it is built collectively, bringing together science, social responsibility and citizen commitment.’

ORGANISATION

The 2nd SAVE International Conference has been organised by the Chair of Social Responsibility of the Valencian Regional Government at the University of Alicante, the Calpe University Campus and Lankoa, with the collaboration of universities, social entities, companies and public administrations committed to sustainability, environmental education and volunteering. The conference also reflects the University of Alicante's commitment to social responsibility and sustainability, reaffirming its role as a key player in the socio-environmental transformation and progress of the province.

The Tourism Department continues with its training programme for local businesses on tourist accessibility

Wed, 29/10/2025 - 10:21
Martes, 28 Octubre, 2025 - 11:30The Tourism Department continues with its training programme for local businesses on tourist accessibility

Calpe Town Council, through its Tourism Planning Department, has once again launched a series of online workshops so that local businesses and tourism agents can learn about tourist accessibility. The aim of Calpe Town Council is to continue advancing in its commitment to becoming an inclusive tourist destination.

This action is part of a broader project to consolidate inclusive tourism, as set out in the Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan (PSTD), which is supported by the Regional Ministry of Tourism of the Valencian Community - Turisme Comunitat Valenciana - and the Secretary of State for Tourism within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) financed by the European Union - Next Generation.

Six workshops have been organised: how to interact with people with disabilities if I work in accommodation, how to interact with people with disabilities if I work in a restaurant, how to interact with people with disabilities if I work in a tourist office or am a tourist guide, how to make a business accessible, communicating for everyone on social media, and keys to organising an inclusive event.

Each course consists of several sessions comprising short video lessons (between 10 and 30 minutes) in which teachers explain specific topics using real-life examples to make the content easy to understand and practical. Interested parties can enroll in the courses they wish based on their interests and can view them as many times as they like for a period of 30 days.

As part of the project to consolidate inclusive tourism set out in the Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan, other actions are planned, such as awareness campaigns aimed at the general public on the importance of the town being an accessible tourist destination adapted to people with all types of functional diversity. In addition, publicity campaigns will be launched to promote the town as an accessible holiday destination.

The Town Council removes 12 palm trees from Ejércitos Españoles Avenue due to the risk of them falling

Wed, 29/10/2025 - 10:20
Martes, 28 Octubre, 2025 - 10:30The Town Council removes 12 palm trees from Ejércitos Españoles Avenue due to the risk of them falling

Calpe Town Council has removed twelve date palm trees from Ejércitos Españoles Avenue due to the risk of them falling. The previous company awarded the contract for the maintenance of palm trees had already produced a report indicating that several palm trees had damage to their trunks, narrowing or cavities, as well as pronounced inclinations.

All these circumstances could cause the palm trees to fall as a result of the wind, as already happened with several trees in 2024, or because they were affected by the red palm weevil.

Therefore, taking advantage of the renovation work on the cycle lane, the Environment Department considered it advisable to replace 12 palm trees with mulberry trees to improve the safety of people and property and also to create shaded areas on this avenue.

On the other hand, a few days ago, the municipal gardening brigades carried out pruning work on a group of palm trees located at the intersection of La Niña Street and Ejércitos Españoles Avenue, as the tops of the palm trees were colliding with a high-voltage power line. Iberdrola workers had to cut off the electricity supply so that the gardeners could work safely, and once the work was completed, the line was restored.

CCTV cameras solve three accidents in their first month of operation

Tue, 28/10/2025 - 10:02
Viernes, 24 Octubre, 2025 - 11:15 CCTV cameras solve three accidents in their first month of operation

The video surveillance cameras installed to improve safety and monitor traffic have solved three accidents in their first month of operation. The cameras have helped solve a hit-and-run collision between a van and a lorry, an accident involving an injured scooter driver and conflicting accounts between the parties, and a hit-and-run accident involving three vehicles.

A month ago, the City Council installed a network of 16 video surveillance cameras on the five main roads in the municipality. This is the first phase of an ambitious traffic monitoring and control plan. All the information from the images is sent to the traffic control centre installed in the Local Police headquarters. The Local Police are responsible for monitoring and viewing the cameras from their headquarters, and an officer has been assigned to this task and has received the appropriate training.

The intention of the Departments of Public Safety and IT is to continue this process by implementing a second phase in which the network of cameras will be extended to other areas of the municipality. The aim is to reinforce security in Calpe, monitor traffic and obtain data management tools to analyse traffic and pedestrian flow levels. A budget of €100,000 has already been allocated to carry out the second phase of this project.
